Toasted Mobo

Last week, my desktop's PSU apparently overloaded at some point. After some research, tinkering, and getting my hands on another power supply, we eventually confirmed that it took the mainboard out with it.

Considering that this wasn't even a great computer 3.5 years ago when it was purchased, I'm inclined against the idea of buying repair parts to put it back to the state where it was. I haven't quite decided what I want to do instead (get another OEM box, buy some better parts and rebuild a nicer system, get more Apple hardware, etc) but fortunately I can be a bit leisurely in figuring it out. I liked my laptop better anyway.

I apologize if the ridiculous cutsie sweetness this page displays causes anyone to lose some teeth. It's just so over the top that I couldn't resist.
